Q: What is the difference between the data as assessed by Actigraphy and a smartwatch?

The Actigraphy is a sleep assessment tool recognized by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the Taiwan Society of Sleep Medicine (TSSM). Actigraphy is equipped with an acceleration sensor, it is able to detect subtle sleep changes, while smartwatches only provide a roughly estimate of your sleep conditions. In addition, an Actigraphy has a light sensor that records the source of light that the subject is exposed to, as light also affects the circadian rhythm, and most smartwatches do not detect the light source.

Q: If I have the autonomic nervous disorder, is there any solution?

Exebrain provides the non-invasive and non-pharmacological biofeedback training. People can balance the autonomic nervous system with biofeedback training, improve cardiovascular function and emotional state, and feel calming and relaxing.

Q: Who is at risk of developing autonomic nervous disorders?

People who have the personality of perfectionism, and tends to be nervous and anxious, low stress resistant, impatient and worried.

Q: Are there obvious specific symptoms of autonomic nervous disorders?

Everyone reacts differently to stress, and the symptoms of autonomic dysregulation will vary from person to person.

Q: May I reduce medicine taking during neurofeedback training?

It is recommended that take as directed by your physician. Do not change the dosage or discontinue the medicine, and consulting your physician for recommendation. Generally, most of our clients reduce their medication use after consult with the physician.

Q: Are there any side effects of neurofeedback training?

A small number of people felt fatigue or mild headache during training, but only for a short time and remission soon. There is no clear evidence from clinical studies that neurofeedback training causes serious side effects in healthy individuals.

Q: May I take medicine during neurofeedback training?

You can take the medicine as usual. If you have questions or concerns about the medication and neurological regulation, our consultant psychiatrist is available.
